ABSTRACT

Wujiang suofengying PowerStation lies on the Liuguang River between Xiuwen County and Qianxi County of Guizhou Province. The valley of dam site is deep, two banks are all arduous and the rocks are firm and interact. The riverbed is only 50–70 m wide, and peak flood reaches to 16 300 m3/s. Such is the layout: riverbed is roller compacted concrete gravity dam; flood is discharged by surface orifice. In the right bank unit diversion underground powerhouse generation electricity is used; in the left diversion tunnel is set and open channel is used in rainless period; earth cofferdam is used riverbed diversion in flood reason. RCC construction technology is adopted and tilt layer roll-compact is done on the gross section. To prevent the emergence of dangerous crack in the concrete, 8%–10% compound expanding agent NF-M is admixed. Body distortion of the concrete reaches to (60–100) × 10−6, dilation volume occupies over 50% after 7 days, which efficiently compensates the concrete shrinkage distortion due to temperature reduction, greatly simplifies temperature control measures, increases construction schedule and economizes project investment.
