The selection process that the blow molders go through in deciding what mold maker to select must be a very arduous process. In selecting a mold maker the most common talked about buzz words are quality, price, and delivery. A typical blow mold design depends considerably on the product design and of course the blow molding machine. Design of a product to be processed must meet basic requirements, such as capacity, aesthetic or presentation quality, strength, simplicity to manufacture, and easy down-the-line handling to packaging. The technical data required to start an order should be attained, by in large, at the quoting stage. The organizational flow or sequence of events in ordering a mold varies from customer to customer. In the extrusion blow molding process, some of the neck finishes are molded during the blow molding process, and some are performed.
