ABSTRACT

A non-linear spring group model was proposed in present paper. It was composed ot such elements as a group of non-linear spring slices and springs, in which, the spring slices were applied to describe the non-linear property of soil, and the springs that linked the slices simulated the interaction of soil layers. The determination of parameters in the model was discussed on physical modeling tests and in-situ tests. The analytic method of the model was established and used to predict the in-situ axial load transfer behavior of rock-socketed pile. The result showed that it was effective.
