ABSTRACT

Pollen morphology of representative species of Aucoumea, Boswellia, Canarium, Commiphora, Dacryodes, Protium, Santiria, the seven genera of Burseraceae which occur either in Africa, Madagascar or Mauritius, is described and discussed. The relationships of these seven genera to other genera of Burseraceae are considered, with particular reference to pollen characteristics and geographic distribution.
