ABSTRACT
Haulpak Division of Komatsu Dresser Company has developed and introduced a 240 short ton (217.7t) payload two axle, electric drive, rear dump haul truck for open pit mining. The model 830E Haulpak is designed with an optimum match between the key factors of engine, drive system, and tires for this payload range haul truck. Many unique design features of the 830E Haulpak are reviewed.
