ABSTRACT
This book about my neighbours, the uk-hep and uk-het clans, contains much interesting information that will be used by other anthropologists in their analysis of our peculiar culture. The first point to make clear is that all members of these clans have dedicated their lives, by a series of magical ceremonies of great psychological weight, to a single purpose—the cultivation of the elpar fruit (nucleonicus fermi).
