ABSTRACT

According to energy damage deformation mechanism of jointed rockmass, a 3-D energy damage model for intermittently jointed rockmass under initial damage, damage evolution and plastic damage deformation state is established in this paper. On the basis of this model, a cylindrical energy damage rock-bolt element model (the CEDRB model) is proposed to simulate effects of bolts reinforcement on the jointed rockmass. The proposed models have been applied to the stability analysis of Shenzhen Xiawan supply water tunnel under construction. The computed results of 3-D non-linear energy damage FEM effectively guide the engineering construction.
