ABSTRACT

In an area where located on the toe part of landslide, and also where alluvium is distributed under toe part of landslide, a two-lane expressway was constructed by a soil cement tunneling method through counterweight fill. In this method, after composing a part of counterweight fill with strengthened soil stabilized by cement as a treatment during filling, and then the inner part of strengthened zone is excavated. In this paper, the authors introduce the investigation contents and monitoring results for soil cement tunneling method, from its design to construction.
