ABSTRACT

The bolting technology of coal roadway has been widely applied in China with obvious economic benefits and technical effects. This paper aims to give a general introduction of it from the following two aspects. Firstly it presents two commonly used bolting design methods, i.e. engineering analogy method based on the classification of coal roadway and system design method with computer numerical simulation. Secondly it deals with the analysis of bolting stability and rational bolting technology of gob edge entry based on the “Big-small structure” theory of surrounding rock.
