ABSTRACT

Effluent purification at the same optimal current density for the both processes sonoelectroflotation and electroflotation of metal and non-metal ions has been compared as function of the time. It has been established that the required time for reaching the threshold toxicant levels for potable water is 5–10 minutes for sonoelectroflotational process, while when only electroflotation purification is used a more prolonged impact duration is needed or these levels could not be reached at all. It has been proved that the application of the low frequency sonic field is beneficial for treatment such kind of effluents and increase efficiency of electroflotational purification of waste waters,
