ABSTRACT
This presentation highlights some of the efforts carried out to quantify the transport sub-process in mineral processing systems. It discusses some of the transport concepts and mechanisms in modeling the mineral processing operations. Specific examples are used to illustrate the current understanding of this phenomenon in some important mill units and to point out important research needs in this aspect.
