ABSTRACT

In this paper, physical beneficiation of an Egyptian nepheline syenite ore from Gabal AbuKhruq Area was investigated. The ore sample is high in iron oxide content and relatively low in alumina. Magnetic separation and reverse anionic flotation, separately, produced unacceptable product. Combination of the magnetic separation and flotation produced a concentrate assaying 0.3% Fe2O3 and 24% Al2O3, from a feed assaying 6.0% Fe2O3 and 18.2% Al2O3.
