ABSTRACT

In this study, the concentration possibilities of feldspar from altered granite deposits in Sancakaya-Eskişehir region, which has presently no economic value, was investigated. The altered granite was first subjected to magnetic separation to remove the iron containing impurities. The concentrate obtained was second treated by Modified Flotation Column to get better quality material. The results indicated that a concentrate containing 0.20% Fe2O3 and 8.22% total alkali was obtained from an altered granite containing 1.73% Fe2O3 and 7.23% total alkali. As a result, it can be used in the body of ceramic tile in the ceramic industry.
