ABSTRACT
Poroelasticity is the theory governing mechanics of fluid saturated porous elastic media as it takes into consideration the interaction between solid deformation and pore fluid flow. This paper describes poroelasticity modeling in rock mechanics as well as some poroelasticity applications in the petroleum industry.
