ABSTRACT
The image analysis programme Tucips (Technical University Clausthal Image Processing System) for the estimation of the grain size distribution of the muckpile was tested in the quarry industry. First tests were made for the optimization of production blasts then for characterizing two different crushers. The tests show that the system is suitable for practical use.
