ABSTRACT

The pilot studies “Landslide hazard in North Bohemia” are projects financially sponsored by the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic and carried out by the Czech Geological Survey. The projects results in user-friendly form are intended to serve local authorities of the districts Ústí nad Labem, Děčín and Litoměnce as a source of basic information for land-use managements. The slope movements create serious problems posing limits on the development of large areas in these districts. The major outputs of relevant projects include maps of engineering geological zoning, geological maps, maps of exodynamic photointerpretation and hydrogeological maps (all at a scale of 1:10 000) and also detailed engineering geological maps of selected localities (at a scale of 1:5 000 and 1:2 000). All digitized graphic outputs are in form of GIS.
