ABSTRACT
Regionally the area under investigation is situated in the Sahel zone in the Republic of Sudan. Main aims of the project are focused on the investigation into the morphodynamic processes and process combinations as well as into their changes due to climatic variability and human impact on the geoecosystems.
Scientific work and the methods applied, went through three major development phases and cover the entire Sahel from the mountainous relief unit of the Jebel Marra in Darfur over the Qoz of Kordofan upto the vast Basement peneplains and the plains of the Nubian Formation in the Butana Region.
