Rare-metal province Central Eastern Desert, Egypt — II. A-type granites of Abu Dabbab, Igla and Nuweibi

The granitoids of Abu Dabbab, Igla and Nuweibi in the Central Eastern Desert, Egypt, are peraluminous A-type granites. The magmas were formed during a second melting event in the lower crust, from which the melts of the late-Pan-African granites had been extracted. The described magmas are plutonic equivalents of ongonites.
