ABSTRACT

First geochemical investigations support the metallogenic similarity of rare-metal bearing albititic granites of the Central Eastern Desert of Egypt with the type locality at the mining area of Orlovka/Transbaikalia; however, the rare-metal potential of the Egyptian occurences is expected to be less significant. The other granitoid varieties of the study area are partly specialized, but generally barren.
