ABSTRACT
A dam is a hydraulic structure which is built across a river. Dams control the rivers for generating electricity, flood prevention, shipping, irrigation, etc. A dam can bring large benefits to the people. Should it fail by any chance, a calamity may happen. Hence, dam safety is important.
