ABSTRACT
This chapter presents extensive information on the construction of a complex urban facility in a densely populated city of Switzerland typically characterized by difficult topography marked by several sinuous valleys. The parcel of land reserved for the construction of this facility had been partially filled with domestic wastes and construction residues for decades, the last dumping being disposed in the early 1950s.
