ABSTRACT
This paper is a summary of the application of frictional pipe anchors in Bulgarian mines experienced during the last ten years. A classification of rock structures is proposed viewing their interaction with the anchor support. A brief analysis is made of the schemes of the anchor support action in a different rock structures. An estimation of effect of the stabilization of rock mass using of the mechanical expansion anchors and frictional pipe anchors in made on the basis of the analytical relationships.
