ABSTRACT

Our research was aimed at the analysis of land subsidencies in two mines in Slovakia. A lot of land subsidencies in these areas are in a close relation with underground mining activities. The mining influences on the surface presented in our paper are typical examples of different deposits in Slovakia. It is not simple to describe land subsidence processes and to acquire the corresponding models, but it is necessary to consider it mainly from the environmental and protection of the surface points of view respectively. Land subsidence intensity corresponds to the intensity of the underground mining. The research results make it possible to minimalize the negative influence of mining activity by the application of the principle: the mine advance in new fields of deposits.
