ABSTRACT

Levelling measurements of fixed points located in the mine openings and on the surface can give good idea regarding the stress change and deformations in the rock mass. The paper presents an example of evaluation of levelling measurements during the exploitation of seam in highly stressed zone in the ČSA colliery of the Ostrava-Karvin á coal field. The paper explains sudden changes in vertical displacement of observation points in gate road entries which are influenced by the left out pillars.
