ABSTRACT
The paper deals with the coal comminution results obtained with a waterjet mill designed and built at the DIMM Laboratories. Grinding efficiency appears very interesting and susceptible to substantial improvement with better design, optimization of operational variables and equipment scale-up.
Despite being a energy-intensive technology, waterjet represents a very attractive solution for fine grinding, especially in the case of coal and ores having favourable textural characteristics.
