ABSTRACT
This paper deals with the need and use of hydrological parameters in environmental protection. It describes the use of hydrological information in the form of water data for environmental impact assessment. When using hydrological data one always has to take into account the worth of information and its relation to the hydrological cycle. Therefore, the development of hydrological networks and the processes to assess the hydrological cycle are described.
