ABSTRACT

This paper presents a multilayered finite element model used to describe the non linear dynamic response of reinforced concrete structures. Thus it includes a damage modelling for concrete, able to describe the opening and the closure of microcracks, adequate assumptions to take into account the shear effects, and the possibility to use a semi rigid element to describe specific boundary conditions. Some applications on a shear wall structures under seismic loading, show the efficiency of different models and assumptions realised, and its interest to help understanding the seismic response of R.C. structures.
