The essential problems that confront the epoxy analyst are the following:
Determination of the structure and physical properties of the cured and uncured resins.
Control of the uncured resin, analysis of hardeners, flexibilizers, fillers, etc.
Tracking the progress of the curing reactions and determination of the extent of final cure.
Identification of unknown samples that are presumably epoxy resins.
