ABSTRACT

In this paper, the various types of performance of polyisobutenylsuccinimides such as thermal stability, oxidation stability, dispersancy, solubility and wear prevention, were investigated in connection with their structure (molecular weights of polyisobutenyl groups, number of imino groups and treatment by various acids). These types of performance were evaluated using the panel coaking test, hot tube test, thin film oxygen uptake test, NOx bubbling test and four-ball test.
