ABSTRACT
All United States patents are listed in the Official Gazette of the Patent Office. It is published each Tuesday and contains one claim from each patent granted on that day. Copies may be found in most large public libraries. These listings are subject-matter indexed according to class and subclasses to assist locating specific subject areas. Also, some technical journals (for example, Food Technology) publish a listing of new food patents and some of the abstract services (for example, Food Science and Technology Abstract) routinely report new U.S. as well as foreign food patents.
