ABSTRACT
Rapid prototyping (RP) technologies result in greater efficiency to reduce production time and cost. The new developments of these technologies allow the construction aesthetics and functional parts. An extension of RP is the Rapid tooling (RT), in which functional tools are realized. Thanks to many varieties of prototyping techniques and more types of materials, RT can be exploited to produce tools for the entire production cycle of parts.
