ABSTRACT

The intensity of using various electric and electronic devices and especially the development rate of wireless communication these days are a cause of the exponentially increasing level of “electrosmog”. Therefore, it is a duty of the stakeholders responsible to create conditions to minimize the negative impact of operated non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation (NIEMR) sources on the environment, property and the health of exposed personnel. The abovementioned facts are valid not only in the civilian sector, but also in the military sector. To be able to support the mentioned requirement, it is first of all necessary to identify the sources of risks, to assess critical risks qualitatively or semi-quantitatively or to quantify them and, based on the findings gained, to propose and subsequently implement adequate preventive countermeasures.
