For the detailed discussion of the wave propagation the reader is referred to Brillouin (1946).
The aim of this section is to apply the tolerance averaging technique to the investigation of the dispersion problem. It makes it possible to compare results obtained by tolerance modeling with exact solutions given by Brillouin (1946), and results derived by homogenization technique.
