The Eastside Light Rail Extension of the Gold line is a $624-million design-build lump sum project. This project was awarded to Eastside Light Rail Transit Constructors (ELRTC), a joint venture between URS Washington Division and Obayashi Corporation, in 2004 to construct the six-mile-long project. It is an extension of the existing Pasadena Gold Line, which runs 13.7 miles from Pasadena to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles.
