ABSTRACT
In Europe, no official document is currently available for the seismic design of pallet racks, and the designers are compelled to operate with a total lack of references and of commonly accepted design rules. Very often they make reference to the Rack Manufacturers Institute (R.M.I.) Specifications, while the European Racking Federation (F.E.M.-ERF) is presently working to produce an official document.
