ABSTRACT

To rationally design the semi-rigid steel frames, it is important to appropriately evaluate moment (M) relative-rotation (θr) behavior of the beam-to-column connections. Many experimental studies have addressed prediction of the M−θr characteristics of the semi-rigid connections all over the world. However, the effects of the geometric parameters of the connections on monotonic and/or cyclic M−θr behavior of the semirigid connections may not be comprehended yet.
