ABSTRACT

During the road maintenance management process, the most important thing to do is monitoring and evaluating the road quality indicators objectively and accurately. According to the results of the evaluation, taking scientific maintenance measures timely is needed for extension of the road serviceable life. Examining and evaluating various distortion distresses fast, accurately and safely, and providing the true 3D information of the road surface circumstances, are keys to the scientific guidelines for the road maintenance management. So establishment of the road surface 3D visualization system is necessary.
