ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: The need for an understanding of urban region development patterns based on physical attributes is stated. Use of physical data in urban and regional description and modeling are reviewed. The development of an N-tuple data for the South Florida urban region, created along multiple attributes of property parcel data, is described. Four examples of the use of this database are presented along with a discussion of future modeling efforts. The paper concludes with a guess at future directions and research questions.
