ABSTRACT
Stress response is important when structures are designed for service. When stresses are evaluated, several papers show that the shear-induced secondary normal stresses dominate the response of empty webcore sandwich panels; see for example Knox et al. (1998), Bright and Smith (2004), Romanoff and Varsta
(2006). However, these papers do not consider influence of the filling material on the normal stress response, nor they present anything on the limiting stress values.
