      Delaminations are among the most frequently encountered defects in a composite marine structure. They may either be created during the manufacturing procedure of the hull or at a later stage, during the operational life of the vessel, due for example to impact loading. The presence of these defects definitely implies unfavourable effects in bending and especially in compressive loading.
