Governance and Practical Approach for Integrating a Sustainable Environment into Human Development: A Regional Case Study

SUMMARY: The aim of this chapter was to explore the feasibility and practicality of how to integrate sustainable environment activities into human development on a national and regional basis for developing countries in general and the Western Asian (ESCWA) and Middle East North African (MENA) region in particular. The achievements in the region were reviewed with special focus on the role of environmental governance.
