ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: As knowledge is becoming the key driver for international competitiveness, the demand for quality education is increasing very quickly worldwide. During the rapid growth of higher education institutes in Bahrain since the year 2000, important sets of performance indicators are becoming extremely vital to ensure a high research quality rating as well as outstanding educational quality. To fulfil such requirements, new technologies should be implemented for a shift from teaching to learning. Furthermore, a clear vision, insight, and skill on the part of the administrators, faculty and students should be promoted. In addition, adequate assessment and evaluation should be created. In this presentation, several proposals towards a more effective system will be highlighted.
