ABSTRACT
Variational grid generation has been used quite successfully in the last few years. Its beginnings arose in the work of Brackbill and Saltzman [1] in 1982 and in the contributions of Steinberg and Roache [2] in 1986. A major advance in the subject was made in 1988, when Charakhch’yan and Ivanenko introduced a harmonic approach which is very effective in irregular plane regions, but an initial convex grid should be generated [3].
