ABSTRACT

The wave phenomena in the marine environment has been studied separately or combined with researching objectives and for the solution to specific engineering problems. These problems vary from the design of simple coastal structures such as submerged obstacles, to more complex structures such as breakwaters, pipelines, harbors, etc. This involves more extensive and detailed knowledge of the behavior of currents, tides, winds and sediment transport inside the study zone; the interaction of these factors or processes require a complex study of the coastal behavior in the hydrodynamic and their interaction with the continental ecosystem for the case of a macro scale research.
