ABSTRACT

I. INTRODUCTION The study of molecular genetics is growing at a remarkable pace. In the past century, science has rediscovered the work of Gregor Mendel, determined the structure of DNA, and learned that DNA is the means of inheritance. This area of biology is tremendously exciting and has the potential to alter our view of the world, as physics did in the first half of the Twentieth century with quantum mechanics and general relativity.
