ABSTRACT
Skin, the largest body organ, covers a surface area of approximately 2m2 and receives about one-third of the blood circulating through the body (1). It maintains the integrity and function of the internal organs by restricting the passage of chemicals into and out of the body and stabilizes body temperature and blood pressure.
