ABSTRACT
Mathematical modeling is a very useful tool for (relatively) quickly and inexpensively ascertaining the effect of different system and process parameters on the outcome of a process. It minimizes the number of experiments that need to be conducted to determine the influence of various parameters on the safety and quality of a process. Parametric analyses can be conducted to understand the relative effects of different parameters.
