ABSTRACT
In a monograph of limited size, it is impossible to present a comprehensive picture of bioinorganic catalysis. The chosen collection of chapters does not and cannot present the totality of the bioinorganic catalysis field. However, we hope to have provided a good and balanced survey of the major interesting aspects of the catalytic role of metal ions in biological systems and low-molecular-weight analogs.
