ABSTRACT
Mood disorders are frequently seen in stroke patients. Symptoms or signs of depression and anxiety occur at any time after stroke in about 20-60% of patients (1-4), and have a negative impact on the functional outcome. The phenomenon is even more important because of the high incidence and cost of disability of stroke.
