ABSTRACT

DA is not the only electroactive neurotransmitter that may be monitored with microelectrodes and FSCV. It is also possible to detect norepinephrine [19, 20], following similar electrochemical procedures in a norepinephrine-containing anatomical region of the brain. By altering the waveform to maximize oxidative current and minimize fouling, it is also possible to study serotonin [21, 22].
